In short

GOTAFE, a public TAFE in northern Victoria now delivered as part of the Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE, teaches viticulture and winemaking. Its Diplomas of Viticulture and of Wine Technology follow the seasons of the vineyard: students study online while working and meet at two intensive workshops a year, with a wet lab equipped like a professional winery and a tasting lab on campus. The Diploma of Viticulture is scheduled at the Wangaratta (Tone Road) campus; short courses for winery staff, such as safety and food safety training, are also offered.
