In short
Shandong City Service Vocational College is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college in Yantai, founded in 1965 and attached to the Shandong Commercial Group, with nine schools and 33 programmes. Its School of Chinese Cuisine, started in 1972, centres on Lu (Shandong) cuisine alongside the other major Chinese cuisines and pastry. Its School of Western Cuisine, which taught Western cooking from 2001 and became a separate school in 2019, offers Western cuisine, Chinese and Western pastry, nutritional catering and wine culture and marketing, the last with wine tasting, sommelier service and marketing courses and a wine tasting room. The Western cuisine school has twice been a national training base for the WorldSkills cooking competition.
