In short

ALMA is an international school of Italian cuisine founded in 2004 inside the Reggia di Colorno, near Parma. Gualtiero Marchesi led it as rector for fourteen years, until 2017. It began as a cooking school with a first course of 17 students and today covers the hospitality professions: cooking, pastry and gelato, bread baking, dining-room service, sommellerie and wine culture, and food and beverage management, with professional courses for newcomers, refresher courses for people already in the trade, and international courses taught in English. The school works with partner schools in more than 20 countries and has opened a branch in Bangkok.
